Pla de l‘Estany
This is a small region lying around one of southern Europe‘s most exciting natural phenomena: Banyoles lake. It is a natural lake of karstic origin whose depth is not even known. The digs carried out to date link it with the presence of certain millenary cultures, as shown by the discovery of the so-called Banyoles jawbone, dating from over 100,000 years ago.
